New Delhi [India], September 8: At just 25, Atirek Shahi from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, is making a significant contribution to India’s evolving legal and sports ecosystem through his debut book Bharat at the Bar of Sports. An advocate practising before the High Court of Judicature at Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, Atirek combines his expertise in constitutional law and governance with a deep passion for sports and policy reform.
A graduate of Jindal Global Law School with specialised training in sports law from ISDE, Atirek has also engaged with prestigious institutions including the United Nations Institute for Training and Research in Geneva and Somerville College, University of Oxford. Professionally, he has worked with the Office of the Additional Advocate General, Uttar Pradesh, as well as in the chambers of Senior Advocate Neeraj Kishan Kaul. Alongside his legal career, he remains actively connected to sports through his association with the Uttar Pradesh State Rifle Association.
Reflecting on the publication of his first book, Atirek describes the experience as deeply fulfilling and humbling.
