Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], August 8: The Gujarat State Rifle Association (GSRA) proudly concluded its 44th State-Level Trap, Double Trap, and Skeet Shooting Tournament at the Aamsaran Rifle & Adventure Sports Academy Ranges in Kheda district
The five-day championship witnessed the participation of over 250 skilled shooters from across the state, including emerging talents from Ahmedabad, several state-level athletes, and affiliated clubs.
In a remarkable display of coordination and sporting excellence, the tournament received strong representation from various institutions affiliated with GSRA which continues to promote sports among youth, contributing significantly to the talent pool of shooting sports in Gujarat.
The event was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including the Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad, and senior officials from the Kheda district administration—namely the Collector, Superintendent of Police (SP), District Development Officer (DDO), Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and District Sports Department Officer along with SOG team—whose presence underscored the growing institutional support for structured sporting events in the state.
The GSRA expressed its gratitude to all participating athletes, regional representatives of shooting associations, officials, coaches, volunteers, and shooting enthusiasts for their collective contribution to the event’s success. The Association reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing shooting talent and strengthening the state’s position on the national shooting map.
